Most recently in 2003 Bob acted as a Preceptor for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner student from the University of Toronto .
Bob has also been involved with the University of Western Ontario as a member of the 80 th Anniversary School of Nursing Homecoming Planning Committee in 2000, and as a Clinical Advisor for BScN students in 1997-1998.
Interests/Research Interests
Bob has presented ‘Care of the patient with a fractured hip' in 2004 to staff at Chateau Gardens , and ‘Orthopedic Program and Patient Pathways' in 2002 to the Integration Committee of the Thames Valley District Health Council.
Current Activities/Future Plans
Bob is involved in the Canadian Orthopedic Nurses Association CONA) and is the current chapter president 2006-8.
Bob has been involved with the London Hip Hip Hooray (Orthopedic) Walk Planning Committee since 1992 when he started as a volunteer. In 2005, Bob was the Site Chair and the Chair of the Public Forum for this event. Bob is also widely involved in the Canadian Orthopedic Nurses Association (CONA). In 2005 he was on the National Competencies and Certification Exam Committee, and was also the Exhibitor's Chair for the local ‘Breakdown on Bones' Conference.
