Charlotte is a Nurse Practitioner in the Adam Linton Dialysis Unit at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital . Charlotte 's advanced practice nursing role incorporates graduate nursing education, advanced skills, medical decision making, and diagnostic reasoning to provide comprehensive, consistent health care for adults with end stage renal disease. Charlotte cares for patients requiring hemodialysis in the Adam Linton Unit, and in the community at satellite dialysis units through both autonomous practice and close collaboration with medical partners and the health care team.

Academic Affiliations
Charlotte currently is an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at the University of Western Ontario (UWO). From January to April 2005, Charlotte was a Clinical Advisor for the Nursing 352 course (Community Nursing).
Interests/Research Interests
Charlotte has clinical experience in Critical Care, Neuroscience, and Nephrology Nursing. Her Nephrology related interests include vascular access, thrombolytic treatment, and Advanced Care Planning. Charlotte 's Critical care interests have included mentoring in nursing, ventilator associated pneumonia, and the use of Activated Protein C (Xigris) in septic patients.
Charlotte 's recent presentations have included the topics: Fluid assessment, and laboratory interpretation in the hemodialysis population. Recent research has included: “Implementation of a Nursing Intervention Checklist for dysfunctional Hemodialysis Permanent Catheters”
Current Activities/Future Plans
Charlotte plans on becoming involved with continuing quality improvement initiatives within the renal program, advanced care planning and nursing related research in the care of adults requiring hemodialysis.
