Interests/Research Interests
Elizabeth 's research interests are in the area of mood and anxiety disorders. Elizabeth 's most recent publication in Clinical Case Studies was entitled, ‘Motivational Enhancement Therapy in Two Cases of Anxiety Disorder: New Responses to Treatment Refractoriness'.
Elizabeth 's work in the areas of anxiety, suicide, and gerontology have been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals, including: Nursing , Perspectives: Journal of the Gerontological Nurses Association , Journal of Gerontological Nursing , and Journal of Clinical Psychiatry .
In 2005, Elizabeth presented a paper on Family Centered Care and a Poster entitled “Implementation of a Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist Role in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry” at the Sigma Theta Tau – Iota Omicron Chapter 18 th Annual Research Day, in London , Ontario , May 6, 2005.
Current Activities/Future Plans
Elizabeth has been the Acting Coordinator together with her NP/CNS duties since April 2005. Upon resuming her full time position in September 2005, Liz is organizing a Medication Update day for the Child/Adolescent Mental Health Nurses from LHSC and RMHC-L. Elizabeth is the Chair of the Education Committee for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, LHSC.
