Jane is a Nurse Practitioner in the Renal Care Program at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital. Her previous nursing experiences include outpost, critical care, and medicine.

Academic Affiliations
In the past, Jane was widely involved in the Arthur Labbatt Family School of Nursing at the UWO. She was an Instructor and Lecturer in Years One, Two, and Four of the BScN Program, as well as Assistant Professor and Coordinator for Year One of the Program. She maintains an adjunct position as Associate Professor and provides guest lectures several times a year.
Interests/Research Interests
Jane has been involved in a number of projects and studies regarding nursing professional practice models, empowerment, and burnout in nephrology nursing.
She is interested in decision support and education for individuals with kidney disease. She was a member of the development panel for the RNAO Best Practice Guideline on Decision Support for Adults Living with Chronic Kidney Disease. She is also interested in advance care planning for people with chronic kidney disease.
Current Activities/Future Plans
In the past Jane has been actively involved with the Southwestern Ontario Chapter of the Kidney Foundation of Canada as a Board Member, member of the Peer Support Program and chair of the Patient Services Committee. She remains involved with the Kidney Foundation on an ad hoc basis.
Jane routinely participates in program based education and CQI initiatives. She is a member of the Hemodialysis Policy and Procedure Committee, the Renal Nursing Professional Practice Committee, and the Regional Renal Clinical Advisory Council. Jane is also a Peer Reviewer for the Canadian Association of Nephrology Nurses and Technologists Journal.
