Marlene is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Cardiac Program at London Health Sciences Centre. She currently functions as the NP/CNS in the CCU.

Marlene has served as a Preceptor for nursing students during her years as a staff nurse in the ICU.
For the past five years Marlene has functioned on the organizing committee for the Annual Education Session of the London Chapter of CCCNc.
Interests/Research Interests
Marlene is the Site Coordinator for Gusto II, III, ASSENT (Cardiac clinical trials); EPO study for the Kreever Commission; and the Radial Artery Graft Study.
She is also involved in data collection for the LHSC Cardiac Transplant Program/National Cardiac Transplant Registry.
Marlene has participated in chart reviews/data collection for multiple cardiac trials with ICES including OPTAMI; OMID; SESAMI/CHF Study; and the Hospital of Ontario Report 2002, EFFECT.
Current Activities/Future Plans
Marlene is currently interested in developing a Journal Club for the Cardiology Program. Her plans for the future include writing Nursing Journal articles, presenting at local and national nursing conferences, and participating in mentorship.
