Academic Affiliations
Rob is an adjunct Clinical Instructor in the 3 rd Year Medical Program at the University of Western Ontario (UWO). He is also a Preceptor in the PHCNP Program at UWO, and in the past has also been preceptor to students in the PHCNP program from Athabasca University and for the BScN Program at UWO. Additionally, Rob was involved with the Western-Fanshawe Collaborative BScN Program as an Advisory Committee Member from 1995-1997.
Interests/Research Interests
Rob's research interests include frailty and outcome measurement in geriatric rehabilitation. He has been instrumental in implementing the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), National Rehabilitation Reporting System (NRS), Rehabilitation Data Set on the GRU. He is involved in a research effort to develop a "Continuity of Care" measurement tool for geriatric rehabilitation. He is also involved in a national research effort to determine the best set of outcome measurement tools for geriatric rehabilitation.
Current Activities/Future Plans
Rob is involved with planning education events for the London & Region Advanced Practice Nurses group. He is also on the executive of the Ontario Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. He is a part of the Ontario Rehabilitation Research Network and will continue to be involved in geriatric rehabilitation research both locally and nationally.
