Diabetes has received a great deal of attention in both academic and public health forums. The rate and incidence and the disproportionate burden on marginalized patients is becoming more widely acknowledged. One area often left unaddressed is the role of depression and its impact on self care capacity. This quick overview will outline the extent of the problem and possible strategies to address this issue.

A description of the work done with a collaborative project with the Community of Practice of Oncology APNs working in Ontario to support role development for Ontario Oncology APNs through a Provincial e-Based Mentorship Program.
